Shopping Saturday

So it has been forever since I blogged anything because unfortunately we had some major storms come through town the other day. One of the only trees we have in our front yard, decided that the wind was just too much for him and fell down.
That being said it fell slightly against the house and took out the phone box, ultimately cutting off our internet. It just happens that today I spending the day at my mothers and I got to use her internet instead... whew I missed you guys :)

Anyways...it's a little late but here's my Shopping Saturday post. I threw a shower for a dear friend of mine the other day and had the task of finding a keepsake for her and her little boy Hawkins. I desperately wanted to find a book with a Hawk as the main character, but to my frustration, one does not exist. (That tells me that I need to write one :))

But in lieu of the frustration I experienced...I did find an amazing keepsake that I have to share and have to get for my sweetness Caroline. It is a book called "My Very Own Name"

The site is called I See Me...and they personalize books for children. All I had to do was put in the child's name and VIOLA...they sent me the finished product within a week! It was beautiful and we decided to have everyone sign a page of it that came to the shower with their prayers for the sweet boy to come. I have to tell you, it was a tear jerker!

Anyways... I think every baby needs one. I mean what better way to learn their names :)

Shopping Saturday: All things Vintage

I am a sucker for anything vintage...and when it comes to all things baby, vintage is the way to go.
I found this great baby site The Baby Gardner and let me tell you, it's TOO MUCH! LOVE IT!

Shopping Saturday: Decorating Rooms for Baby

Hey friends!

Hope that you are enjoying this beautiful Saturday morning! Today's shopping is inspired by all my friends out there who are starting to decorate the nursery for the little one coming. I remember how stressed I was over this because I didn't want your average theme inspired nursery. Every time I stepped into Babies R'Us I was so dissapointed with the selection. Luckily I have a mother who is an excellent sower, and I purchased the fabirc and she sowed!

Let me just tell you...I love ETSY! You can find pretty much anything for babies on there. My most recently found loves are from there.

First let me tell you that I love wall art! Caroline has two things up in her room. Her name and a growth chart...

Shopping Saturday! 2 of my favs :)

So today I am posting about 2 of my favorite new baby things! First up...BABY LEGS!

I think they are so cute and they grow with your baby. They are great for newborns because you can put them with a onesie and you don't have to take them off to change their diaper. They are good for infants like Caroline who are about to crawl, to protect their knees...and they are just cute to wear after that! They have all different kinds for girls and boys...so stock up because they are TOO MUCH! I LOVE THEM!

It's Saturday again... and it's time to go shopping!

We are photographing her whole first year...and already I am getting ready for her 6 month pics! Shopping Saturday-Favortite places for uncoventional baby items

So I think every Saturday I am going to post my favorite baby shopping sites for those of us who like your unconventional baby items!
